We take responsibility & act sustainably
As a successful company with deep regional roots, we take our responsibility for our home region and its environment very seriously. In order to make our contribution, we have taken some effective measures, the implementation of which is important to all of us at KEMMLIT.
Maximum resource efficiency
Our meticulous process optimization not only improves work and products, but above all increases efficiency in the use of resources. We use materials and energy effectively through optimally coordinated processes – and thus act in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.
Autonomous power supply
In 2025, we modernized and expanded our PV system. Since then, we have been generating the majority of our electricity ourselves – a tangible step for our carbon footprint. Our vehicle fleet has also been converted to e-mobility wherever possible. The appropriate charging stations are located directly in front of our company building – powered by our own PV electricity.
Generating energy from production waste
Our modern wood chip plant converts wood waste from our own production into heat energy. It generates more than we consume ourselves – which is why we feed the surplus energy into the local district heating network. In this way, we give something back to our local community and make a tangible contribution to greater sustainability.
Climate-neutral by 2035
We pursue all our goals with dedication and meticulousness. This includes the goal of being climate-neutral by 2035. To this end, we have developed a sufficient climate strategy to show us the way. KEMMLIT wants to set a positive example and show that a climate-neutral company can also be an industry leader throughout Europe.
